Question 1

Will asking for a deposit put clients off?

Accepted Answer

You set the amount for each service, and you can leave it off entirely. The deposit comes off the price of the session, so clients pay nothing extra. They just commit to the time.

Question 2

Do my clients need an account or an app?

Accepted Answer

No. They open your link in a browser, pick a time, enter their details and pay. Nothing to install and no password to create.

Question 3

What if Stripe isn’t available in my country?

Accepted Answer

You don’t need it. Paste a payment link from PayPal, Wise, Revolut, Square or Stripe and clients are sent there to pay the deposit. Connecting your own Stripe account adds one thing: the client’s card is saved, so a no-show fee can be charged in one click.

Question 4

What happens if a client doesn’t show up?

Accepted Answer

You mark the booking as a no-show from your dashboard. If Stripe is connected and the client’s card was saved at booking, the fee is charged to it straight away, up to the amount they agreed to when they booked. Otherwise you get a payment link to send them.

Question 5

Does a client get the deposit back if they cancel?

Accepted Answer

You set the cancellation window. A client who cancels before it gets the deposit back in full; inside it, you keep the share your policy says. Deposits taken through Stripe are refunded for you. Deposits taken through a payment link are refunded by you, from that service.

Question 6

Do you take a cut of my payments?

Accepted Answer

No. Clients pay you directly, through your own Stripe account or payment link, so SlotPaid never touches the money or takes a percentage of what you charge.

Question 7

Are reminders included?

Accepted Answer

Yes. A text and an email go out 24 hours and 1 hour before each appointment on every plan, and you can switch them off.

Question 8

Can I use my own branding?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Your booking page shows your business name, logo and accent colour on every plan. On Solo and Team the SlotPaid badge is removed, so clients only see your brand.

Question 9

Can I cancel anytime?

Accepted Answer

Yes, from Settings → Billing. Your paid plan runs to the end of the period you’ve paid for, and payments from your clients aren’t affected.
